Pre-cast concrete deliveries for the Septa Parking Garage Construction Project will begin on Monday, April 25, 2016
Crews have been out preparing the location as well as along Railroad Avenue for deliveries that will take place between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm. As delivery trucks cross Main Street, flaggers will be present to stop traffic at Main and Broad Streets as well as Railroad Avenue. Once trucks have entered Madison Parking Lot, they will travel to the temporary roadway where they will enter the construction location.
It is anticipated that this process will take three months, but the Borough and Septa will keep all informed of any changes to that schedule. Both organizations thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience as we work through this disruption.
Foundations and underground utilities are nearly complete in preparation for erection of the precast sections scheduled to start in mid-April
Access in and out of the Lansdale station will remain unchanged during this phase
Modifications to the Madison Parking Lot are necessary to provide access for precast concrete delivery. Twenty of the sixty remaining parking spaces will be eliminated starting April 18 to begin preparation of the access route.
The remaining commuter parking spaces at the Madison Parking Lot will be eliminated starting April 21 when precast concrete deliveries begin. Some existing long term spaces will be converted to short term spaces to support local business during construction.
