Madison Parking Lot Closure Update

Madison Lot Fencing

UPDATE 10/20/17

Beginning Monday, October 23 Madison Lot fencing will begin going up and limiting access to the lot.  Access points will be available for entry and exit on Monday, October 23 through Tuesday, October 24.  The lot will officially close for public parking at 11:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24 with construction beginning Wednesday morning.  Madison Street will remain open until construction begins on the widening project with the date to be determined.

UPDATE 10/16/17
As planning for future construction of the Madison Parking Lot continues, EQUUS has heard the public feedback related to parking in the lot and have agreed to keep the lot open until closer to when actual construction begins on the site.  This extension will allow commuters, residents, visitors and the Borough to explore accommodations for parking needs.

Until schedules are confirmed, fencing may be placed on site allowing for vehicular traffic to enter and exit the lot; however, once construction dates are set notices will be posted onsite as well as through various social media channels giving patrons 24 to 48 hours notice that Madison Parking Lot will no longer be accessible for parking.  While construction schedules are weather dependent, we anticipate that Madison Lot will be closing within the next several weeks.

Please reference the map detailing specific areas of fencing along the project.

SEPTA commuters may park in the Parking Garage (FREE through November.)

Patrons of Main Street businesses may park in any of the nearby municipal surface lots:  Vine Street Lot, West Main Street Lot and Walnut Street Lot.

As more information is available, it will be posted on our website and various channels so check back for updates.
