Like everyone, Borough staff has been working hard to figure out what our new reality will be post COVID-19. One topic of conversation that we have been discussing at great length lately is how to safely open Borough Hall to customers when allowed and the time is appropriate. Please know that we will not do anything without authorization from the state and, even then, we will use utmost caution, care and well-thought out plans. Deciding how we can best meet your needs while taking extra steps to make your experience with us healthy and safe is at the top of creating a plan for reopening.
Starting Monday, June 22, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 11:30 am and will reopen for afternoon hours of 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm. The midday closure will allow us to thoroughly and properly sanitize all areas where the public has access. When entering the building, please consider the health and safety of yourself, our staff and your neighbors if you feel you must come to Borough Hall for any services. Masks will be required to enter the building and must be worn the entire time you are here and all restrooms will be closed to the public.
Upon entering the building, a hand sanitizer station will be present and customers will be directed up the stairs to the Customer Service area on designated sides of the stair well; those customers who need the elevator to reach the second floor will be able to access the elevator. After you have completed your transaction, arrows will direct customers back down the stairs to exit the building.
All services offered in the building will remain available 24/7 via the Borough website; utility bill payment, electric service applications and service disconnections will remain free of cost to customers until further notice. Those who can utilize these services are encouraged to do so and not enter Borough Hall. Any questions on payment or on your account can be directed to Customer Service by calling 215-368-1691.
Public meetings will continue to be held remotely until large public gatherings are permitted. Registration is required for all meetings; find details on how to register by visiting the Borough website, www.lansdale.org.
The only constant in this entire COVID-19 pandemic has been how quickly things change. As things continue to change, our plans for reopening may as well, but we will continue to post information on our website, social media channels and other various outlets as available. We thank you for your continued cooperation.
