Curbs, Sidewalks, & Signs

Curb & Sidewalk

Specifications for driveway, curbs and sidewalks may be found in Ordinance 1695. Each property owner is responsible for the maintenance of curb and sidewalk located along the property street frontage. Permits are required for any replacement work.

The Property Maintenance Code requires property owners to comply with minimum standards established to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The Code regulates the maintenance of the exterior and interior of structures as well as exterior property areas. This Ordinance also establishes procedures for the licensing and inspection of apartments in the Borough.

All signs erected in the Borough require a permit and must comply with Borough's Zoning Ordinance. This Article of the Zoning Ordinance defines the different types of signs and the specification requirements for permit submittal.
