Ages - 7 to 13
Fee: $450/resident

This camp is for both new and moderately experienced skateboarders. New skaters will learn balance, body coordination, creativity, teamwork, and develop their physical and mental strength. Additionally, they will learn how to get on/off a board safely, how to push and go down a small ramp at first. From there, they will be able to explore
different types of ramps and tricks with instructors. For experienced skateboarders, instructors will teach more advanced tricks requiring an understanding of a variety of nuances in board control. Lastly, all skaters will be given basic coaching on how to mentally persevere through tricks that take a long time to execute. Participants are required to have their own skateboard, wear safety gear (helmet, wrist guards, and knee and elbow pads), and bring a water bottle. Skateboard equipment can be purchased at Skate The Foundry, located at 120 Yorktown Plaza, Elkins Park, PA 19027.
